Welcome to the web site of St Francis' Primary School and Bunscoil Naomh Proinsias.

As Principal to this wonderful school, I, like all the children starting each new school year, do so with a sense of excitement and anticipation.  I am thrilled to be working with teaching and support staff who have the child at the centre of all they do.

St Francis Primary School and Bunscoil Naomh Proinsias have achieved significant success over the years:

• Our school was inspected in November 2015 and achieved High Capacity Status with the recognition of high quality teaching and learning
• We were awarded the Green Eco Flag three times with the additional recent success of Green Teacher of the Year NI
• We have established a unique outdoor woodland area, are an accredited Forest School and are an outreach centre for red squirrels, as part of Belfast Zoo's breeding programme 
• We participated successfully at Ulster and All-Ireland level in Drama (Bunscoil) as well as at Portadown Feis on many occasions.

With an appropriate focus on the curriculum and learning, St Francis PS will continue to provide a wealth of experiences beyond the classroom to enrich pupils' learning and to make the children's time here both memorable and enjoyable.
