School Closure due to Strike Action on Wednesday 26th April
NAHT, UTU, INTO and NASUWT have instructed their members to engage in a full day strike on Wednesday 26th April.
The school will not open to pupils on that day.
The strike action is linked to continuing and detrimental cuts to education, as well as pay. Our own school is suffering greatly as a direct consequence of the cuts in educational funding and running a school where we can keep over 800 pupils safe, warm and with adequate resources is increasingly difficult. In fact, with the actual budget allocated, it is impossible.
Therefore, while disruptive to your routine, I would ask sincerely that you support the actions of the unions and teachers in trying to affect change
