The class have been learning about floating and sinking, and testing which objects float and sink.
They enjoyed the lesson in class yesterday in which each table got their own container of water and were able to place objects into the water to test if they were going to float on top of the water or sink to the bottom.
Today they got to test more objects in the outdoor play area. The class got to choose their own objects, such as cotton balls, toys and paper boats. Before they placed the object in the water they were asked whether it would float or sink, and then they were able to test their predictions in the water.
